A JPS HEALTH NETWORK PHYSICIAN HAS ACCUSED THE
TAXPAYER-SUPPORTED TARRANT COUNTY HOSPITAL DISTRICT OF
BEING OBSTRUCTIONIST IN HER ATTEMPTS TO COMMUNICATE
WITH THE BOARD.
Dr. Mayme Richie-Gillespie, an orthopedic-oncology
surgeon, wrote an e-mail to board members criticizing
the performance of JPS administrators, but said that
her e-mail was shown to the hospital's upper management
before it was forwarded to the board chairman, reported
the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Richie-Gillespie said she
wanted to inform the board about her concerns about
patient care, the way patients are admitted into the
network's system and about strained relationships among
physicians and administrators, the Star-Telegram added.
