SSI regularly receives calls from physicians who are targeted for economic or retaliatory reasons.  Some are threatened for maintaining a successful practice that competes with nearby hospitals and healthcare institutions. Other physicians are targeted after alerting hospital administrators of unsafe conditions that threaten patients.

The defense of these cases requires specialized expertise that few attorneys fully understand. Finding the right attorney immediately is often the most important part of winning your case.  Whatever the reason, physicians and other healthcare professionals are urged to respond BEFORE peer review is scheduled to take place.

Because we are a non-profit volunteer organization, SSI relies on donations and membership fees to support our ongoing efforts to end sham peer review (SPR) and economic or political retaliation.  Your membership and tax deductable $125 application fee will be applied toward your membership application and up to one hour of free legal and/or peer consultation.
